This Week's Rotary Meeting - October 29 - Our dinner meeting will be a the Williamsburg lodge with guest speaker for the evening Rene' Bowditch and May Beth Gibson, from the 'Beyond Boobs' organization who will be giving a presentation to remind us that this is breast cancer awareness evening.  Rennie Howard is our member host for this event.


Rotary Next Week - November 5 -Mike Maddocks will be hosting Dr. Mike Potter, who will be discussing the benefits of Plasma Rich Platelets (PRP)
Last Thursday's Meeting - October 22 - Last week our guest speakers were Sue Farley and Jen Curtis from the International Hospital for Children hosted by Member Robin Bledsoe.  Sue and Jen discussed some of the works performed by IHC for children around the world noting how Rotary has helped their organization through District Grants awarded over the past year leading to a considerable benefit for the children. After a short video, Sue a recent visit to IHC by local ER physician, Dr. Brian Claire. IHC is a humanitarian organization that links pediatric surgical, diagnostic, and preventive resources to heal critically ill children in developing countries around the world.

In addition to the Terrific presentation by representatives from IHC, the Historic Triangle Rotary hosting our district's Group Study Exchange (GSE) team from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, joined us for dinner. 



 Claudio Paula, President of the Volta Redonda Rotary Club in Rio de Janeiro introduced each of his GSE team members that he led in visiting sites within district 7600.  His team members, shown seated at the table and two with their backs to our photographer included Renata Ferreira (right at table), from the Barra Mansa Rotary Club, Joanize Santos (seated next to Renata) from Jacarel -Avarehy Rotary Club in Sao Paulo,  Eliane Stevanato (back to right) from Taubate Rotary Club in Sao Paulo, and Fernando Raimundo from Queluz Rotary Club.  The team was sponsored by their district 4600 in Brazil (district governor Ettore Dalboni) and our District 7600. Local host was the Historic Triangle club with Mark Anderson chairing the club's committee to host the GSE team around our area.
