Last Thursday's Meeting - May 27 - Last week I am sure all who attended enjoyed both Bringier McConnell's detailed and outstanding summary of the benefits gained by all from our donations to the Rotary Foundation including donations to the Polio-Plus fund which includes a challenge donation from the Bill & Malinda Gates Foundation of $355M with Rotary obligated to raise $200M as its match.   Following Bringier's presentation, Robin Bledsoe presented a series of first-hand photos she had taken during her visits and volunteer services in Haiti, including views of her daughter's demolished home, hospital scenes that showed Robin craddeling a small baby that was almost as small as her hand while she was on duty in a tent hospital jus thtis past month, and brief shots showing Rotary Shelter Tents being used after the quake.  Bringier and Frank both are asking that all members not yet contributing to the foundation to take time and send us a check.  Frank and Bringier are the co-chairs for the club's foundation drive this year.  Phone calls will be made over the coming week to gently push so tha twe can meet our goal as shown on our home web page.

TRF

Bringier McConnell and Robin Bledsoe both received the appreciation of our club members and from President Mike Maddocks (r) for their outstanding presentations this evening on the benefits from our club donations to the Rotary Foundation and on Robin's first-hand experience in Haiti including photos of Rotary Shelters in place, her nursing support for babies, and of her daughter Brittany's demolished home following the Quake.  Amazing series of photos.

THE FOUR-WAY TEST
Test of the things we think, say, or do:
1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
