This Week! Leadership change of charge!
Previous Meeting: Paul Freiling, Williamsburg Mayor hosted by Will Hummell!
Our club is very appreciative to Will Hummell for inviting our City Mayor to speak to the Club. I have always contended that the best place for understanding your community, is in front of the speaker podium at a Rotary meeting. Mayor Freiling was poised and confident in front of a tough and educated crowd and has my confidence as a Civic Leader. Thank you Will for getting this program.

Will Hummell also presented the Williamsburg Rotary Scholarship to Sierra Carne from Lafayette High School.
Sierra will be attending Northeasterd University in the Fall. Congratulations to her for being the recipient of this great honor.

We will meet at the Lodge on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Thursday of the month. On the 4th Thursday, we will have a social event that will be coordinated by a Club Member. If there is a 5th Thurday, we will either not have a meeting or a special event. Comunication will be the key to the success of this change. From Rotary International President:
"Our theme in this Rotary year is Be the Inspiration. I chose this theme because, throughout my years in Rotary, I have seen that what truly motivates Rotarians is their work. The Rotarians who have the biggest impact through their service aren’t always the women and men with the greatest resources, the most experience, or the largest networks. They’re the ones who are inspired. Whether it was something they did, something they saw, or someone they met, they’ve all had experiences that lit them on fire—and inspired them to serve." Rotary International President Barry Rassin
Note from the Treasurer:
There are some members that are significantly past due for their membership dues. Please make arrangements if you are behind. timely payment of dues falls squarely in the 4-way test. If you have not receivd your billing statement or would like to change your email address, please email Mike as soon as possible. Our budget is dependent on timely payment of quarterly dues. Please pay your invoice as soon as possible. Payments are due within 30 days of the invoice. Thank you.
Foundations Supported Annually by Club Members:
Williamsburg Rotary Foundation (WRF) –
The WRF is building an endowment that will deliver an annual funding for our club's local grants that our members request in support of local charities. Club members are encouraged to voluntarily donate at least $25 (minimum) each quarter with their dues invoice ($100 a year).
The Rotary Foundation (TRF) -
The mission of TRF is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, support of education, and alleviation of poverty through District, Global, and packaged grants. Candy Hamilton is leading the drive this year to reach our club annual goal.
